Heroes 2-09-09 Chapter 2 – Trust and Blood Once again, we are back. Let me say, I'm very pleased with the progress of last week and this week. The focus is squarely on the main characters and things are going to be predictably chaotic and fun. Let me get on with the recap: We begin with Hiro on the run from the crash site. He comes across Matt and Mohinder. Matt is in VisionQuest Milky-Eye mode and leads them away from the crash site following Usutu... He finds a trailer nearby and breaks in for writing materials (when he has to draw, he has to draw!) and begins to paint images. One of the more particularly disturbing images was of Daphne being shot (here we go again with “Knock-Off-Tango's-Favorite” again). Back at the crash site, Peter and Claire are trying to make their own escape and run into HRG. Peter gets away, but Claire gets cut off and brought back to Nate and the control site. Nate is having a problem keeping control over the Hunter, the head of the tact...

I Tweet, ThereFore I Am (Twitter)

FL (in Time Zone " Eastern Time (US & Canada) ") and has a homepage, website or blog at  http://www.myspace.com/tangomega Description:  "The Keep-It-Real RedPill Souljah out of Zion." In December I was watching Scobelizer on Fast Company TV and he did an interview with Guy Kawasaki . I won' t make you click the link to find out who he is, the thing that non-tech people will recognize is that he was one of the people who help bring the Macintosh to the masses back in 1984. He's well-respected and also the author of a few books, like The Art of the Start (2004) which actually got rave reviews from my brother Tza. Those of you that know Tza know he isn't a guy prone to raving. Actually, he's the exact opposite of a 'raver'. So I'm watching this interview, and Guy says ...

From MLK to Today...

I have been focused on some personal challenges that very nearly overshadowed the significance of today. Today Barack Obama officially takes his place is the 44th President of the United States. CNN commissioned filmmaker Antoine Fuqua to do a short film called "From MLK to Today" to mark the occasion. Many of the images he chose for the film were from the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the very same images that provided me the inspiration and motivation to get off my ass and register to vote @ 19 years old and to never take for granted my right to do so. I don't know if many in my community even thought much about it before this year. I really did not truly appreciate it until I watched that footage and took it in. I saw young men and women, more kids than anything else huddling together to find some refuge against a water cannon. I saw a man in sheer terror as he was mauled by a Police Dog. I watched a man take a rifle butt to the face and stagger as the blood began to pour ov...

Just a Generally Shitty Day

In the past few years I've read a number of inspirational books... Malcom Gladwell's "Blink", Tony Robbins' book (a couple of those), Russell Simmons' "Do You", and to be honest I'm just ashamed of myself when I have a bad day. I've taken on a lot of what those guys have to say, and I know that we make concious decisions to have good and bad moods. You can dwell on something, or you can move forward, move on. I take it personal when I let things go for too long, but dammit sometimes there are things that just affect you more than others. I guess that speaks to the investment you have in certain things. When I say things like I just said, I know it's an excuse, and that makes me feel worse. It's the most circular process to be trapped in, and I hate to admit it even more.  Another thing that bothers me is that I hate to give haters the satisfaction of seeing me 'sweat'. Man, there are those out there who just live for you to ha...

Poker and Politics: The Rise Of Barack Obama?

This political primary has been almost impossible to prognosticate. Every time you think someone's done, they come back surging (you hear that, Bush? That's a damn surge!). Huckabee continues to defy the pundits. Obama is starting to overtake Clinton, and this race seems like it's far from over. The picture is starting to become a little clearer myself, and I'm going to share a few thoughts I've had in the past few hours. We've got a final 4 in Obama, Clinton, McCain, and Huckabee. Just like a game of poker, we have the chip leaders. I'd have to say it's McCain on one side, Clinton on the other. The chip lead is just that, the lead. The game is not over. Nothing is more indicative of that than the shift in the polls. Obama is again ahead. The polls have been off a few times, but they've been more right than they have wrong. The momentum in the game is most certainly on the Obama side, it really is. Clinton fired her campaign manager, which indic...

I'm Addicted to Blogging

I'm sick of MySpace. Well, I'm not really sick of MySpace. I'm sick of the problems they've been having with blogs. Two days straight and I've been unable to read blogs properly or consistently. I've been pushed out. I'm here. Hi, I'm Ere'bodee's Favorite Mega, and I'm addicted to blogging. Now, I'm not just talking about writing them, I mean reading them, too. I've loved the very idea of blogging since the day I Googled the word and found out it was out there. You keep your journal online. Never lose it. I've journaled pretty much all my life, as soon as I found out it was ok for guys to keep journals (hey, I was born in the 70's, and only girls kept diaries back then). They've gotten me in some serious junk throughout... I always wrote down things that I shouldn't have, and left my journal in places that it shouldn't be. Like when I was 18. I almost slept with my best friend's girlfriend, who had been secretl...
